Shipping policy

Overview

We strive to ship your orders efficiently and transparently. This policy describes how we ship domestically (within Canada) and to the U.S., including handling of duties, taxes, carriers (Canada Post, UPS, Purolator), and how the new U.S. de minimis rules affect shipments.

Business Days & Processing Times

Our shipping business days are Monday to Friday, excluding statutory holidays. We are closed on weekends.

  • Orders placed on Friday or over the weekend will be prepared for shipment on the next business day.
  • Most in-stock orders ship the next business day after your order is placed.
  • However, please allow up to three (3) business days for order processing before dispatch, especially during peak periods or for complex shipments.
  • International/U.S. orders may require the full three business days due to additional documentation and customs preparation.

Transit times listed below apply after your order has been processed and handed to the carrier.

Domestic Shipping (Canada)

Available Carriers & Services

  • Canada Post Expedited Parcel (Local 1 business day / Regional up to 3 days / National up to 7 days)
  • Canada Post Xpresspost (Local 1 / Regional 1 / National up to 3 days)
  • Canada Post Priority (Local next day / Regional next day / National up to 3 days)
  • Purolator (where available) — subject to service options and transit times
  • UPS — select services depending on destination and weight

Shipping rates are shown in Canadian dollars (CAD) at checkout and are calculated based on the recipient’s address, chosen method, and item(s) weight/dimensions. Some items (e.g. manufacturer-direct or special event items) may not qualify for expedited shipment until available. Transit time applies after processing and dispatch (see “Business Days & Processing Times” above).

International / U.S. Shipping & the New U.S. De Minimis Rules

What’s Changed (Effective August 29, 2025):
The U.S. has suspended its duty-free “de minimis” threshold (formerly USD $800). All goods shipped from Canada to the U.S., regardless of value, may now be subject to applicable U.S. customs duties, taxes, and tariffs. Duties may be collected at origin (prepaid) or billed via carriers/brokers.

Because of the additional customs documentation and preparation required for cross-border shipments, processing for U.S. orders may take up to three (3) business days before dispatch.

Carriers Offered for U.S. Delivery

  • Canada Post (Expedited Parcel USA, Xpresspost USA)
  • UPS (cross-border services, may require brokerage)
  • Purolator (via cross-border/partner network)

How Duties, Taxes & Customs Are Managed

  1. Prepaid (DDP) Option: Duties/taxes are collected at checkout for smooth customs clearance.
  2. Carrier/Brokerage Billing: If not prepaid, carriers may contact you for duties/taxes before delivery.
  3. Customs Documentation: Shipments include all required HS codes, invoices, and origin info.
  4. Additional Fees: Brokerage and clearance charges may apply depending on the carrier.

Transit Times & Tracking

Delivery times vary depending on carrier, service, distance, and customs. All U.S. shipments are trackable. Customs delays may affect delivery times. Transit time estimates begin after your order has been processed and shipped.

Pricing & Promotions

All shipping and duty-related charges are displayed at checkout where available.

Returns, Undeliverable & Refused Shipments

If a U.S. address is incorrect or undeliverable, return shipping and customs fees may apply. Refusal to accept delivery may result in additional charges. Please ensure your address is accurate and duties are paid to avoid delays.

Disclaimers & Additional Notes

  • We reserve the right to refuse/cancel orders that cannot ship under customs or regulatory restrictions.
  • Some items (e.g. pre-orders, signings) may remain in pre-shipment status until available and may not follow next-business-day shipping timelines.
  • You are responsible for ensuring compliance with U.S. import restrictions.
  • Once handed to the carrier, liability for loss or damage follows carrier terms. Insurance is recommended for high-value items.
